School Fundraising Program
Connect Your School to Local Organic/Pesticide-Free Produce and Raise Money with Every Produce Box Delivered.
One of my passions is connecting kids with the food that's grown right in their community and getting them excited to eat more fruits and veggies. Our convenient delivery to your facility makes it extremely easy for parents to pick up their children and grab their organic/pesticide-free produce all in one trip. Not only do families enjoy the perks of seasonal eating and a free pick-up spot for their produce, but for every box delivered to the school a portion of the proceeds will be donated directly back to the school. --What is the Fundraising Program?
Plow to Porch enjoys connecting our organic/pesticide-free farms and local food producers with members of the community! In an effort to reach the larger community, we began partnering with schools in the Santa Barbara area. We hope to make eating healthy more accessible to busy families and school faculty members as well. The participating sites maintain a membership base and use their site for members to pick up their boxes. In return, Plow to Porch offers a portion of the proceeds of each box delivered back to the school.
--When and how often are the boxes delivered?
New sites are set up to receive deliveries every week. We will let you know which delivery days and times are available based on your location. We will work with you to determine the best delivery window.
--How much can my school earn?
For each box delivered, your school will earn $2.50. For example, if you have 15 families and 5 faculty members subscribing, that would be 20 boxes or $50/week, $200/month, $600/quarterly. Fundraising checks are mailed quarterly to the school and include monies earned over the quarter.
--Do I have to sign up and maintain accounts for each of my members?
No, members will sign up online to create their individual account through our website. They will select your location using a promo code and add it to their order. Members will also make any changes to their account through the website.
--How do I get members to join?
Promote the program frequently to your parents and staff. We will provide fliers to introduce the program to your parents and staff. Send flyers home with each student, mention in newsletters, hold tabling events, advertise to the neighborhood (if the school allows).
--How do I get started?
Let’s get your fundraiser going! Contact us at: [email protected]. We will discuss your location. Once we determine a good delivery day and logistics, we will set you up in our system and you can start promoting. Deliveries can begin as soon as the 10 member sign ups are met. If you are a small school or daycare and this number seems difficult to reach, we can discuss modifying it.
